Reiki was recommended by my therapist &Ive never done reiki before, but before my first session i intentionally did not google it so i had an unbiased opinion. Yaya made me feel so comfortable and took her time explaining the process and what to expect. She is an amazing woman and i feel like ive known her my entire life, her energy is so pure. My husband and I were trying unsuccessfully to conceive for 2+ years at the time that I connected with Cathy. I think some things were meant to happen. In fertility treatment I had all my biomarkers carefully measured and timed. Where we were grateful to have the opportunity, however it felt cold, statistical, clinical, and relentless. What I desperately needed was to reconnect with the sacred aspects of my womb and my sense of fecundity.
Cathy held that space for me. I needed to be seen, and she saw me. In her hands, my womb was sacred and life giving. With her massage, I felt shifts in my body that were subtle but profound. I felt an opening and re-connection with the flow of energies innate in my body. I was getting in touch with what it meant to be fertile and ready to receive new life. I loved getting to feel that again, after being estranged from it for so long. I believe her work prepared my body for pregnancy. I am grateful for it and happy to report back that about three months later we were pregnant for the first time!

There are some things you just can’t question because they simply work….my time with Yaya was one of those things.
I was drawn to her ability to connect and relate to people all while still remaining focused and attentive to your personal reason for being there with her. The second I walked into her space, I knew that it was the beginning of my healing. She doesn’t address you as a number or as numbers in her pocket. She sees you as a whole (even if in pieces) and begins your work….individual, rewarding and healing. I can’t wait to continue my journey towards my best self with Yaya’s hand in the process. I had my first Reiki healing session with Yaya about a week ago. I have to say she is the real deal. This was not my first time having a Reiki healing session. What stood out about her practice most of all was her attention to detail, professionalism, and warmth. Her space is intentional, she takes the time to make you comfortable and explain why she’s doing certain things. This really elevates the Reiki experience, and takes the “mystery” out of the art, while personalizing it to you. She gave me several messages that were earnest and rang home, and explained why. I really feel like she saw me. The whole experience felt like a conversation, rather than a transaction. Her healing energy was exactly what I needed at that point in my life. I would definitely go again!
